Ram Babu Yadav from Siraha was spotted at the Pathibhara Temple in Bhedetar on Saturday. He shared that he was visiting the temple for the second time, believing that his wishes would be fulfilled by worshiping there.
Similarly, Bijay Kumar Gautam from Duhabi Municipality mentioned that he came to Bhedetar to visit Pathibhara Temple, confident that his desires would be granted.
Umesh Sah from Biratnagar visited the temple to pray for his family’s progress and peace. He explained, “It takes us several days to reach Pathibhara in Taplejung, but since this temple holds similar significance, we decided to worship here.” Sah noted that his family frequently visits the temple, trusting that their wishes will be fulfilled through their prayers.
Pujari Ait Bahadur Limbu stated that devotees from various parts of Nepal, as well as from Sikkim, Darjeeling, and other regions of India, visit the temple. He added that an average of 250 devotees visit daily, with the annual number reaching 50,000.
The temple is bustling from morning to evening due to continuous worship throughout the day. Pujari Limbu remarked that Bhedetar has developed into a religious tourist destination in the Koshi Province because of the temple.
Previously, sacrifices of sheep and goats were offered at the temple, but now devotees release pigeons, offer fruits, and present decorative items. Pujari Limbu mentioned that those who cannot visit the Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung fulfill their vows at this temple.
Situated at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level, the temple, established in 2000 (2057 BS), houses the deity’s idol. The temple offers a view of Taplejung’s Pathibhara Temple, leading devotees to worship it as a symbolic representation of the original temple.
