Marriott International has partnered with Nepal’s MS Group to introduce the first-ever JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu Valley, marking another major milestone in the country’s rapidly expanding luxury hospitality industry.

Nepal’s luxury hospitality sector is set to witness a major expansion as Capital Hotel and Hospitality Limited, a company under MS Group, has signed a hotel management agreement with global hospitality giant Marriott International to launch the country’s first-ever JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu Valley. The landmark partnership is expected to introduce a new level of luxury accommodation and international hospitality standards to Nepal’s tourism industry.

Fourth Collaboration Between Two Major Hospitality Partners

The agreement marks the fourth collaboration between MS Group and Marriott International, further strengthening their long-term partnership in Nepal’s growing hospitality market.

Hotel Targeted for Completion by 2031

According to the developers, the JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu Valley is scheduled to begin operations by early 2031.

The upcoming luxury property will feature 221 modern and upscale guest rooms designed to deliver world-class comfort and hospitality services.

The hotel will be strategically located around 15 minutes from Tribhuvan International Airport, providing convenient access for both domestic and international travelers.

Prime Access to UNESCO Heritage Sites

Officials stated that the hotel’s location will offer easy connectivity to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites located within Kathmandu Valley, enhancing its appeal among international tourists seeking cultural and heritage experiences.

The project aims to combine luxury hospitality with Nepal’s rich cultural and tourism identity.

Premium Facilities and Event Infrastructure Planned

The hotel will include multiple dining outlets offering diverse culinary experiences, along with premium wellness and leisure facilities such as a spa, fitness center, swimming pool, and the signature JW Garden concept.

Developers have also announced plans for large-scale event and convention facilities.

A major highlight of the property will be its expansive event and meeting venue covering more than 1,600 square meters, which is expected to cater to international conferences, corporate events, weddings, and luxury social gatherings.

Agreement Signed by Senior Hospitality Leaders

The hotel management agreement was signed by Gaurav Agrawal, Director and Managing Director of Capital Hotel and Hospitality Limited, and Raj Menon, President of Marriott International Asia-Pacific excluding China.

In addition, another agreement exchange ceremony took place between Shashikant Agrawal, representing Capital Hotel and Hospitality Limited, and David Marriott, representing Marriott International.
