Shree Airlines Flight Returns to Parking at Tribhuvan International Airport

Early this morning, a Shree Airlines flight scheduled to depart for Surkhet from Tribhuvan International Airport had to return to the parking area after reaching the runway. The incident occurred as the aircraft was preparing for takeoff at around 7:30 AM.

Passengers on the flight reported that the plane had reached the final takeoff point on the runway before unexpectedly turning back and returning to the parking area.

According to Binita Khatayat, a Member of Parliament from the National Independent Party who was on board, the aircraft had completed the boarding process and was at the runway’s final point for takeoff. However, after the plane turned back, passengers inquired about the reason for the return. The airline staff informed them that the aircraft was turned back due to technical issues.

MP Khatayat criticized the airline for what she perceived as negligence, stating that the return from the runway was a result of the airline’s lack of diligence.

On the other hand, Anil Manandhar, the manager of Shree Airlines, explained that the aircraft was returned due to a dispute among some passengers, not technical problems. He stated, “The flight was turned back not because of technical issues but due to a commotion among a few passengers. According to aviation standards, when there is a dispute among passengers, another procedure must be followed to resolve the issue before proceeding to the destination.”

The flight is now preparing for its scheduled departure to Surkhet after addressing the passenger-related issues.
