CITM 2026 Offers a Platform to Promote Nepal

The China International Travel Mart is an international tourism trade event that brings together tourism businesses and industry representatives to showcase destinations, promote travel products, and explore business opportunities. Participation could allow Nepali companies to present their tour packages, travel services, and destination experiences to Chinese travel trade representatives and other potential partners.

Nepal offers a wide range of tourism products, including Himalayan trekking and mountaineering, cultural and religious heritage, wildlife tourism, and adventure activities. Promoting these experiences at international travel fairs can help tourism businesses introduce Nepal’s diverse attractions to new audiences and explore opportunities to develop products suited to different visitor interests.

Strengthening Nepal–China Tourism Cooperation

Participation in CITM 2026 could provide Nepali tourism companies with opportunities to establish business relationships with Chinese travel agencies, tour operators and other tourism service providers. Such connections can help businesses explore partnerships, exchange market information and develop travel packages for prospective visitors.

China remains an important market for Nepal’s tourism industry, making engagement with Chinese travel trade representatives relevant to the country’s international promotion efforts. International tourism fairs can also provide opportunities to highlight destinations beyond Nepal’s established tourist centres and encourage visitors to explore a broader range of experiences.
