Nepal is preparing to present its diverse tourism experiences to international travel buyers and industry professionals at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, scheduled for November 3 to 5 at ExCeL London, United Kingdom. The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) will lead a delegation of 33 tourism businesses, including trekking operators, travel agencies, hotels, resorts, conservation partners and community based tourism organisations. The delegation will represent Nepal at Stand N8-530, aiming to establish international business connections, exchange ideas and develop partnerships with global tourism stakeholders.
This year’s promotion will highlight Nepal’s tourism offerings beyond its well known Himalayan attractions, with particular attention to wellness, sustainable tourism, living heritage and community led conservation. The campaign will also introduce international visitors and travel trade representatives to Nepal’s cultural experiences, wildlife, adventure activities and local hospitality. Ahead of Nepal Wellness Year 2027, the country is placing additional emphasis on yoga, meditation, spiritual experiences and holistic wellbeing.

Nepal to Showcase Wellness and Responsible Travel Experiences
Nepal’s participation will focus on connecting international travel buyers, tourism professionals and media representatives with authentic and responsible travel experiences. Alongside established trekking and mountaineering routes, the country plans to promote wellness tourism, cultural journeys, wildlife experiences and community based activities. Yoga, meditation and spiritual rejuvenation will receive particular attention as Nepal prepares for its national Wellness Year 2027 campaign. The initiative aims to strengthen Nepal’s position as a destination for travelers seeking meaningful experiences connected with nature, culture and local communities.
Visitors will also be encouraged to explore Nepal’s religious and cultural attractions, including Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, and the ancient temples, monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley. These experiences will be presented alongside the country’s Himalayan landscapes and adventure Travel products. By combining cultural heritage with wellness and nature based activities, Nepal aims to appeal to a wider range of international travellers. The approach also seeks to encourage Travel that supports local livelihoods while respecting natural and cultural resources.

Community Conservation and Himalayan Adventures Take Centre Stage
Community participation in wildlife conservation will be another major theme of Nepal’s presentation at WTM London. The country plans to highlight its conservation achievements, including initiatives to prevent wildlife poaching and efforts to protect endangered species through cooperation among local communities, conservation organisations and national parks. Nepal’s progress in rhinoceros protection and the growth of its wild tiger population demonstrate the importance of long term conservation efforts. These achievements also provide opportunities to promote wildlife tourism and nature based travel experiences.
Beyond Mount Everest and popular trekking destinations, Nepal will showcase a wider range of adventure activities and lesser explored landscapes. High altitude marathons, mountain biking, white water rafting and cultural journeys will form part of the country’s destination promotion. Such activities offer visitors opportunities to experience different geographical regions and local traditions beyond conventional travel itineraries. The promotion aims to highlight Nepal’s diversity as an adventure destination while encouraging responsible travel and broader tourism opportunities across the country.

33 Nepali Tourism Businesses to Represent the Country
The NTB led delegation will include 33 tourism businesses representing different segments of Nepal’s travel and hospitality industry. Participants include trekking companies, travel agencies, hotels, resorts and an airline, providing international buyers with opportunities to explore a range of tourism products and services. Among the participating organisations are Buddha Air, Chandragiri Hills, The Begnas Lake Resort and Villas, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, Rupakot Resort and Alpine Club of Himalaya. Their participation is expected to support business networking and promote cooperation with international travel companies.
The delegation will be based at Nepal Stand N8-530, where representatives will connect with travel buyers, media professionals and travel organisations attending the three day event. WTM London provides a platform for tourism businesses and destination representatives to discuss market opportunities, develop partnerships and promote travel products to international audiences. Nepal’s participation is intended to strengthen its visibility in global travel markets and expand connections for its tourism businesses. The event also offers an opportunity to present Nepal’s changing tourism priorities, particularly wellness, sustainability and community focused experiences.

Nepal Highlights Tourism Recovery and Invites Responsible Travel
Nepal’s promotional message will also emphasise that tourism activities continue in major destinations despite the recent flash floods and damage in parts of the country, particularly along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river corridors and in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. The affected communities continue to face recovery challenges, including damage to homes, businesses and livelihoods. However, destinations such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, the Annapurna region and the Everest region remain important tourism areas, with travel subject to local conditions and official advisories. The message encourages visitors to make informed travel decisions while recognising the situation in affected areas.

Through its “Nepal Is Open” message, the NTB is encouraging international visitors to support local businesses and travel dependent communities through responsible travel. Visitor spending can help sustain livelihoods, strengthen local economies and contribute to recovery in areas where tourism remains operational. The board also aims to build stronger international relationships through authentic hospitality, sustainable adventure and cultural experiences. As Nepal looks towards Wellness Year 2027, its participation at WTM London is an opportunity to present the country as a destination offering meaningful travel experiences while protecting its natural and cultural heritage.
