Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is set to initiate efforts to establish a tourist bus park in Kathmandu.
During a ‘Congratulations and Felicitation’ program organized by the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) today to honor the newly elected officials and members of NATTA, President Kumar Mani Thapaliya stated that NATTA will take steps towards constructing a tourist bus park in the federal capital, Kathmandu.
“Discussions are ongoing with the Pashupati Area Development Trust to operate tourist buses from the Pashupati area. We believe the issue of the tourist bus park will be resolved within the next couple of months,” President Thapaliya said.
Highlighting the recent advancements in technology for tourist bus ticketing, President Thapaliya thanked TBAN and expressed the need to establish a disaster fund to address issues in the tourism sector during crises.
TBAN President Krishna Acharya emphasized the importance of collaboration between TBAN and NATTA to advance the tourism bus sector, which he described as the backbone of the economy. He stressed the need for collective efforts to make tourist buses organized, safe, and dignified. During the event, the officials and members elected from NATTA’s 57th General Assembly and 24th Convention were honored.
