His experience in expanding tourism businesses and promoting Nepal in international markets has earned him the confidence of many tourism entrepreneurs within the industry.
Previous Leadership Role in NATTA
Pandey previously served as a Member of NATTA’s Executive Committee for the 2020–2022 term, where he contributed to the association’s institutional development and actively participated in initiatives aimed at protecting the interests of tourism entrepreneurs.

During his tenure, he was involved in discussions on industry-related issues, organizational strengthening, and policy matters affecting Nepal’s tour and travel sector.
Vision for a Stronger, Modern NATTA
Announcing his candidacy, Pandey expressed his commitment to transforming NATTA into a stronger, more modern, effective, and member-focused organization. He emphasized that the association should play a more proactive role in addressing the evolving needs of tourism entrepreneurs while strengthening its influence in national tourism policymaking. According to Pandey, enhancing institutional capacity and ensuring greater participation of members will be central to his leadership agenda.

Key Priorities for the Tourism Sector
If elected, Pandey has outlined several priorities aimed at strengthening both NATTA and Nepal’s tourism industry. His agenda includes protecting the rights and interests of tourism entrepreneurs, improving coordination with the government and other tourism stakeholders, advocating for tourism policy reforms, expanding international partnerships, accelerating digital transformation within the tourism sector, encouraging leadership opportunities for young tourism entrepreneurs, and enhancing the quality of services provided to NATTA members. He believes these initiatives will help create a more competitive, innovative, and resilient tourism industry while improving the association’s effectiveness in representing its members.
Focus on Industry Collaboration and Growth
Pandey also stressed the importance of stronger collaboration between the private sector, government agencies, and international tourism partners to capitalize on Nepal’s growing tourism opportunities. He said NATTA should continue to strengthen its role as the collective voice of Nepal’s tour and travel industry while supporting initiatives that promote sustainable tourism development and long-term business growth.
