The Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has stated that all the inconveniences faced by Indian tourists visiting Nepal will be removed.
While speaking to Indian journalists at Koshi Tappu today, Chief Minister Karki mentioned that unnecessary checks and currency exchange issues faced by Indian tourists when visiting Nepal will be addressed. He also highlighted that the Koshi Province government is preparing to celebrate 2082 (2025 AD) as the “Koshi Tourism Year.” He emphasized the need for coordination and facilitation to bring Indian tourists to Nepal.
After a meeting of the main organizing committee for the Koshi Tourism Year held at Koshi Tappu today, Chief Minister Karki spoke to Indian journalists and mentioned that the relationship between India and Nepal is powerful and that tourism promotion in Nepal could be furthered based on this relationship. He stated, “The main foundation of the development and prosperity of Koshi Province is tourism.”
Referring to the province government’s commitment to promoting tourism in Koshi, Karki mentioned that the budget for tourism promotion and development will be increased starting next year. The provincial government has also formed the main organizing committee under the leadership of Chief Minister Karki for the launch of the 2082 Tourism Year, which will take place on the first of April 14, 2025 in the Milke Jaljale area of Terhathum.
