Rajuman Dangol has been elected President of the Thamel Tourism Development Council (TTDC) after securing a convincing victory in the council’s Executive Committee Election 2083. Dangol defeated his nearest rival, Prashrya Rajbhandari, by a margin of 363 votes, receiving 728 votes against Rajbhandari’s 365 votes. The election, held on Ashadh 27, 2083 (July 11, 2026), concluded with the announcement of the official results by the Election Committee following the completion of vote counting.
New Leadership Team Announced at Thamel Tourism Development Council
Alongside Dangol, Rajiv Pandey was elected as the First Vice President with 754 votes, defeating Shree Krishna Thapaliya, who secured 315 votes. Dawang Tamang won the post of Second Vice President after receiving 683 votes, while his opponent Prakash Shrestha obtained 335 votes. Ramesh Thapa was elected Third Vice President unopposed.

For the position of General Secretary, Pashupati Kandel secured a decisive victory with 720 votes, defeating Punya Ram Lageju, who received 333 votes. Dilip Kandel (Milan) was elected Secretary with 636 votes, while Prakash Thapaliya garnered 391 votes. The post of Treasurer was won by Kinchu Lamu Bhutiya (Shrestha) with 733 votes, defeating Roshan Adhikari, who secured 316 votes. The election also finalized the selection of executive committee members, with nine candidates securing seats through the voting process.
