The awards ceremony was held in Bangkok on September 25, 2026, with the theme “The Next Generation Mainstream.” Products and services were presented for their market performance and appeal. The judging process was conducted by the Business and Magazine in collaboration with the College of Management, Mahidol University.

Finalists were evaluated based on market performance and consumer recognition, while winners were chosen through a combination of professional assessment and consumer survey input. It reported that the latest recognition illustrated the positive reception of its Premium Economy product offering in Thailand, which was launched on its Bangkok services in 2025 as the airline continued to evolve its cabin experience and comfort options for travelers.

Enhanced Comfort And Onboard Experience For Travelers

Emirates Premium Economy product provides passengers with a choice of a more spacious cabin featuring extra legroom, dining options, and access to ice entertainment system. The airline has been offering the Premium Economy cabin as the alternative to the Economy Class seats and as the lower tier option ahead of its First and Business cabins. The introduction of its Bangkok Premium Economy product has therefore broadened the range of choice for its travelers between Thailand and the airline’s international destinations.

Emirates noted that its Premium Economy product had received further recognition as the airline continued to invest in its product development and innovation. According to Emirates, its Premium Economy cabin was named “Best Premium Economy Class” at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards in 2024 and 2025, while it also won the “Airline with the Best Premium Economy Class” at the 2025 ULTRAs Awards. The latest Thai market recognition therefore complements its series of accolades and Emirates continued to invest in its product development and innovation.

Continued Focus On Enhancing Traveler Experience In Thailand

Mohammed Alwahedi, Emirates Country Manager for Thailand, commented on the airline’s latest achievement, noting that he was delighted that the airline’s product offering had received such positive recognition and consumer response. He added that Thailand remained an important market for Emirates as the airline continued to increase its investment across the country. Emirates continued to develop its products and services while also enhancing the customer experience at its ground facilities.

As part of its ongoing investment in the country, Emirates has launched the Emirates World Store in Bangkok while also expanding its Phuket services with a third daily flight. In addition, Emirates also announced the launch of the U-Dream headrest in its Economy Class seats, which it reported was the perfect support for the head and neck on long haul flights. The airline continued to enhance its range of comfort and experience innovations for its Economy Class passengers, which complements its investment in the Premium Economy offering.

Emirates Enhances Bangkok As A Regional Aviation Hub

In addition, Emirates continues to develop Bangkok as a key regional aviation hub by investing in enhanced connectivity with Fifth Freedom services to Siem Reap in Cambodia and Da Nang in Vietnam. By expanding its Fifth Freedom services to Southeast Asia, Emirates is capitalizing on the demand for regional travel while also supporting the local tourism industry. The Fifth Freedom services also enable more seamless onward journeys for international travelers, who can use Bangkok as a convenient transfer point between destinations. Bangkok’s status as both a destination and a transfer point makes it an attractive proposition for airlines to continue to invest in the city as an aviation hub.

The U-Dream headrest that Emirates launched this summer offers a multi directional adjustable design that it claims provides optimal support for the neck and head on long haul flights. Emirates added that it had launched electrically powered Premium Economy seats with full-height adjustable privacy screens, which enable greater control and comfort for the passenger. The latest developments from Emirates have enhanced the comfort and experience for its passengers in its Economy and Premium Economy cabins. Emirates’ new seats in its Premium Economy cabin represent the world’s first electrically powered seats with full height adjustable privacy screens between every seat.

The airline is not only capitalizing on the demand for greater comfort and convenience from its passengers but it is also enhancing its network connectivity in Thailand, including its Fifth Freedom services in Southeast Asia. From new Economy seats to the launch of its Premium Economy product, Emirates is continuing to develop its services and offerings in one of the key aviation and tourism markets in Southeast Asia.
