Nepal was promoted at the tourism expo held in the United States. Four Nepali companies participated in the Adventure Travel Show, organized in Los Angeles on February 22 and 23, under the leadership of the Nepal Tourism Board.

The participating companies included Nepal Trek Adventure & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Ojha Holiday Tour & Treks Pvt. Ltd., Friends Adventure Team Pvt. Ltd., and Nepal Century Treks Pvt. Ltd. This marks Nepal’s participation in the Los Angeles tourism fair after a gap of 15 years.

According to Binod Sapkota, director of Nepal Trek Adventure & Expedition and former general secretary of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), the event showcased Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and thrilling adventure activities.
The Nepal Tourism Board reported that 10% (112,000) of tourists visiting Nepal in 2024 were American citizens, making the U.S. the second-largest source of tourists after India.

Key attendees included Nepal Tourism Board Director Rajendra Lama, Board Director Hikmat Singh Aire, tourism entrepreneurs Ramesh Ojha, Naveen Pokharel, and Kundan Mishra, along with Rishi Prasad Dhakal, Nepal’s Honorary Consul for California. The two-day expo featured over 100 booths from various countries, including Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
