Tumlingtar Flights Resumed Following Extended Weather Break

Flights at Tumlingtar Airport in Sankhuwasabha have resumed after a three-week suspension due to adverse weather conditions. Today, a 72-seat Buddha Air aircraft successfully operated a flight after thick fog had disrupted operations since Magh 14.

According to the Civil Aviation Office, the airport was previously experiencing extremely low visibility of only 500 meters, making flights impossible. However, as the fog around the airport and surrounding hills partially cleared, visibility improved to five kilometers, allowing flights to resume.

Chief of the Civil Aviation Office, Nawaraj Dahal, stated that although operations have restarted, weather conditions are still not fully clear. Buddha Air has been operating flights to Tumlingtar regularly, but continued weather monitoring is necessary for smooth flight operations.
