Regarding the bilateral agreement between Nepal Airlines Corporation and Japan Airlines: Nepal’s national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation (RA), has signed a bilateral Interline Partnership Agreement with Japan’s national flag carrier, Japan Airlines (JL), aimed at expanding their business collaboration.
This agreement facilitates seamless travel options for passengers, allowing them to fly directly to Narita International Airport in Japan via Nepal Airlines’ direct flights. After arriving in Japan, passengers can easily connect to various destinations in the United States, Western countries, and Korea using Japan Airlines’ connecting flights.

One of the key features of this agreement is that it enables passengers and their baggage to be checked in from their final destination using Nepal Airlines tickets. This will not only streamline the travel process for passengers but also make it easier for international tourists to visit Nepal, enhancing the overall travel experience.

The partnership is expected to bolster Nepal Airlines Corporation’s business growth and significantly promote tourism development in Nepal, contributing to foreign currency earnings. The agreement was the result of long-term coordination and negotiations, initiated under the special guidance of Mr. Yubaraj Adhikari, the Executive Chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation. The proactive efforts of the Marketing Management Department played a crucial role in finalizing the agreement.
With this new partnership, Nepal Airlines Corporation has now established Passenger Interline Partnership Agreements with 25 airlines and Cargo Interline Partnership Agreements with 28 airlines. This expansion is anticipated to enhance the airline’s global network, especially as it increases its fleet size.

Moreover, this agreement is seen as a significant step towards strengthening economic and business ties between Nepal and Japan. It aims to provide passengers with convenient access to various destinations across Japan while also attracting Japanese tourists to Nepal with appealing tour packages that include high-level services.
Overall, this partnership is poised to benefit both airlines by increasing passenger volumes and improving service offerings, thereby fostering greater connectivity between Nepal and Japan and enhancing the tourism landscape in both countries.
