Flights Suspended at Tribhuvan International Airport Due to Protests

Flights at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been suspended following protests near the airport premises. Authorities cited security concerns as the primary reason for halting both domestic and international flight.

According to reports, demonstrators gathered outside the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) headquarters in Sinamangal and set fires, which later spread towards the airport vicinity. As a precautionary measure, authorities decided to shut down airport operations temporarily.

A senior airport official stated that the situation remains uncertain, and flight disruptions may continue until security is fully restored.

At present, international flight are being held in the air, while all domestic flights have been completely halted. Passengers and airlines have been advised to stay updated on further developments.
