The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has officially formed the Hotel Association Nepal Koshi Province in order to strengthen the hospitality sector and support tourism growth throughout Koshi Province. HAN President Binayak Shah urged the Koshi Province Government to roll out suitable policies, regulations, and institutional mechanisms to protect, promote, and sustainably develop the hospitality industry. Shah stressed that HAN’s central organization stays committed to supporting tourism promotion in every province of Nepal. He further pointed to the difficulties tourists encounter at border entry points and urged the creation of modern Tourist Assistance Centres at major border crossings to give visitors dependable information, facilitation, and support services. During the event, Rajan Shrestha was chosen as president of Hotel Association Nepal Koshi Province. The newly formed executive committee comprises Bhawish Kumar Shrestha as senior vice president, Shanti Shrestha as vice president, Jeewan Parajuli as secretary general, Punya Bhattarai as secretary, and Khem Oli as treasurer. The leadership team will be tasked with directing the association’s activities and representing the interests of hospitality businesses at the provincial level.
The members of the executive committee are Pramesh Shrestha, Rajiv Shrestha, Anjali Rai, Suresh Limbu, Bijay Rai, Khagendra Bistha, and Aakash Dulal. Motilal Dugar, Deepak Nepal, Dinesh Amatya, and Tulasi Pokharel have been named advisors to the provincial association. Their participation is anticipated to bring added experience and guidance as the newly formed body launches its provincial operations.
