IME Group Opens Ila Comfort Luxury Hotel in Baglung with Rs 300 Million Investment

IME Group has inaugurated Ila Comfort Luxury Hotel in Baglung, investing Rs 300 million in the tourism sector. The hotel was officially opened on Saturday by Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey. Speaking at the event, Minister Pandey highlighted the importance of tourism for Nepal’s economic development and praised IME Group’s investment in tourism infrastructure. Gandaki Province Government Minister Krishna Pathak also commended the group’s efforts in the sector and encouraged further investments in Gandaki Province.

Located along the Kali Gandaki Corridor and the Mid-Hill Highway, Ila Comfort Baglung is expected to provide high-quality hospitality services for both domestic and international tourists. IME Group Chairman and FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal expressed confidence that the hotel will contribute to the growth of Baglung’s tourism industry, particularly by attracting more Indian and Chinese tourists traveling through Sunauli (India) and Korala (China).

The hotel spans 4 ropanis of land and features 30 elegantly designed rooms, including 27 guest rooms, two luxury suites, and a penthouse, with a focus on delivering a unique hospitality experience.

Sachin Dhakal, Head of Ila Hotels and Resorts, stated that the brand prioritizes creating memorable experiences for guests rather than just providing accommodation. The hotel is 1.5 hours from Pokhara Airport, with public transportation available every 30 minutes between Pokhara and Baglung, ensuring easy accessibility for visitors.

The opening of Ila Comfort Baglung marks the first phase of IME Group’s hotel expansion strategy, with preparations already underway for an Ila Hotel in Gaindakot, Nawalparasi, and plans to establish hotels in all seven provinces of Nepal.

This is IME Group’s fourth hospitality venture, following investments in Chandragiri Hills (Chandragiri), Le Himalaya (Lazimpat, Kathmandu), and Lakeside Retreat Hotel (Pokhara). Additionally, the group has completed the construction of a hotel at the top station of the Maulakalika Cable Car. With this latest investment, IME Group continues to strengthen Nepal’s tourism infrastructure, fostering economic growth and enhancing the hospitality sector.
