Light Rainfall and Cloudy Weather Continue Across Kathmandu Valley and Several Provinces

The Kathmandu Valley is currently experiencing light rainfall, with meteorological forecasts indicating the continuation of light precipitation throughout the morning, afternoon, and into the night. According to meteorologist Devid Dhakal, the valley will see light showers throughout the day.

The haze that had recently blanketed the Kathmandu Valley and several other regions of the country is expected to gradually dissipate, providing some relief from reduced visibility and pollution levels.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that there is a high chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in various parts of the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province today.

In addition, the Division has forecast light rainfall and snowfall in some parts of the high-hilly and mountainous regions. The mountainous region of Bagmati Province is likely to witness partly to generally cloudy skies, with the possibility of light snowfall in select areas.

The hilly regions of the country are expected to remain generally cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall, thunder, and lightning likely in several areas. Similarly, the Tarai region could experience partly to generally cloudy weather, with predictions of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two locations.

During the night, the weather conditions in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with chances of light snowfall in some areas.

The Division further stated that light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning could occur in hilly areas, while light to moderate rainfall coupled with thunder, lightning, and occasional storms may occur in some parts of the Tarai region.

Residents across the mentioned regions are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions, particularly those residing in mountainous and hilly terrains, as adverse weather conditions including lightning and storms can pose hazards.
