Lumbini Coffee Table Book Officially Launched, Highlighting Buddha’s Birthplace and Nepal’s Buddhist Heritage

The Lumbini Coffee Table Book has been officially launched, showcasing the historical, cultural, archaeological and natural significance of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

The publication was formally launched by Hon. Khadak Raj Paudel (Ganesh), Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Lumbini Development Trust, in the presence of secretaries from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, as well as the Ministries of Law and General Administration of the Government of Nepal.

The launch marks an important effort to document and promote Lumbini’s rich heritage and its significance as one of the world’s most important Buddhist pilgrimage and cultural tourism destinations.

Book traces Lumbini’s heritage from the birth of Prince Siddhartha

The publication takes readers on a journey through its timeless heritage, beginning with the birth of Prince Siddhartha Gautama in 623 BCE.

It highlights the historical and spiritual significance of the sacred site, which is regarded as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later attained enlightenment and became known as Lord Buddha.
