Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites has joined the third Pumdi Bhumdi Open Mountain Race, set to be held in Pokhara on October 10, 2026, as the event’s hospitality partner. The partnership aims to assist in organizing the mountain race while helping to promote sports tourism and establish the Pumdi Bhumdi area as an emerging tourism destination.
The partnership agreement with Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites was signed by Sunil Bahadur Bhattarai, who operates Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites, and Dina Nath Baral, coordinator of the mountain race. Organizers stated that the hotel’s involvement will enhance the event’s hospitality arrangements and reinforce cooperation between the local tourism and sports sectors.
Hotel Provides Hospitality Support for Mountain Race
Spanning roughly seven ropanis, Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites features 62 rooms, among them three suites plus deluxe and super deluxe rooms. Situated in Khahare, Lakeside, the hotel provides views of Phewa Lake, Mount Machhapuchhre, the Annapurna range and Methlang Hill, establishing it as a hospitality facility closely tied to Pokhara’s natural tourism attractions. Its location and variety of accommodation facilities are anticipated to deliver additional hospitality support for participants, guests and stakeholders connected to the mountain race.
Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites has also been promoting an array of accommodation and wellness facilities, such as a conference hall, spa, sauna, steam room, massage service, jacuzzi, and fitness center. Its restaurant is able to host more than 200 guests and serves Continental, Nepali and Indian cuisine, with acoustic live music offered daily. According to the hotel, its emphasis on hospitality, service quality, and a green environment has helped draw repeat visitors since operations began.
Pumdi Bhumdi Race Aims for Sports Tourism Growth
Race coordinator Dina Nath Baral said the partnership with Majestic Lake Front Hotel & Suites would further boost the event’s appeal and help promote Pumdi Bhumdi through sports tourism. The competition is being organized with the goal of raising the visibility of the Pumdi Bhumdi area while creating a platform that merges outdoor sports with Pokhara’s tourism potential. The organizers anticipate the event will draw greater attention to the area’s natural landscape while encouraging visitors to discover Pumdi Bhumdi beyond the city’s established tourism attractions.
The event is being organized by Pokhara Click and Pokhara Promotion Center in connection with World Peace and Tourism Day. Pokhara Metropolitan City is backing the event, while the Gandaki Province Sports Council is coordinating and Pokhara Metropolitan City 22 is collaborating. Organizers said the race is meant to support the broader promotion of local tourism by drawing athletes, visitors and other participants into the area.
Local Institutions and Businesses Join Event Partnership
A number of organizations have entered the fray in various roles to back its organization. Nelumbo Nepal is linked to the event as its medical partner and is funding the third prize in the open category, whereas Pokhara Television has been named the official television partner. According to the organizers, Introduction Advertising, the Ward Youth Council of Pokhara Metropolitan City 22, local clubs, businesses and various organizations are also backing the event.
Organizers stated that coordination with local stakeholders will carry on in the run up to the race to guarantee effective preparation and management. A meeting to discuss and gather suggestions, involving clubs, community organizations, local associations, elected representatives and other stakeholders from Pokhara 22, is set for September 17 at 11 a.m. at the ward office. The meeting is anticipated to offer local stakeholders a platform to talk over preparations and put forward suggestions for making the competition more organized and effective.

The hotel has given Rs. 100,000 to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to assist relief, rescue and rehabilitation work for people hit by natural disasters. Hotel operator Sunil Bahadur Bhattarai said the donation was made in response to the loss of lives and property from the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa and other natural disasters reported across different parts of the country.
