The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough positioned near its average location. This has resulted in varying weather conditions across different provinces.
As of this morning, Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces are experiencing generally to completely cloudy skies, while the remaining provinces have partial to generally cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in a few places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces and in one or two places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
During the day, partial to general cloudiness is expected across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few places in Madhesh province. Heavy rainfall is likely in one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
At night, the country will generally remain cloudy. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in a few places in other provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
