Dr. Naresh Subedi, Member Secretary of the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), and Dr. Chiranjivi Prasad Pokhrel, Director, recently visited the Head Office of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) in Pokhara. Their visit aimed to evaluate the ongoing progress and discuss contemporary issues related to conservation efforts in the region.
During the visit, Dr. Rabin Kadariya, the Chief of the ACAP, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the project’s current progress. The presentation covered various aspects of the project’s initiatives, achievements, and challenges faced in preserving the biodiversity and natural resources of the Annapurna region.

Following the presentation, a discussion session was held involving the officials and staff members of the ACAP head office. The session focused on addressing key contemporary issues, sharing insights, and planning strategies to overcome challenges in conservation efforts.
The ACAP is Nepal’s largest protected area, recognized globally for its remarkable biodiversity and unique landscapes. The visit underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in preserving this natural treasure and highlights the commitment of stakeholders to sustainable conservation practices. This visit is expected to provide valuable input for enhancing the effectiveness of ongoing and future conservation initiatives within the Annapurna Conservation Area.
