Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar (USD) continuing to rise. Along with the USD, the value of the Chinese yuan (CNY), Saudi Arabian riyal (SAR), Qatari riyal (QAR), Hong Kong dollar (HKD), Kuwaiti dinar (KWD), and Omani riyal (OMR) has also increased.
On the other hand, the Euro (EUR), British Pound Sterling (GBP), Swiss Franc (CHF), Australian Dollar (AUD), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Singapore Dollar (SGD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), South Korean Won (KRW), Swedish Krona (SEK), and Danish Krone (DKK) have declined in value. Meanwhile, some foreign currencies have remained stable.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for 1 USD is NPR 138.14, while the selling rate is NPR 138.74. The Euro (EUR) is being traded at NPR 144.05 (buying) and NPR 144.68 (selling), while the British Pound Sterling (GBP) stands at NPR 171.78 (buying) and NPR 172.53 (selling). The Swiss Franc (CHF) has been set at NPR 152.46 (buying) and NPR 153.12 (selling).
Similarly, the Australian Dollar (AUD) is valued at NPR 86.32 (buying) and NPR 86.69 (selling), while the Canadian Dollar (CAD) is being exchanged at NPR 95.86 (buying) and NPR 96.28 (selling). The Singapore Dollar (SGD) has been set at NPR 102.19 (buying) and NPR 102.63 (selling).
Among Asian currencies, Japanese Yen (JPY) is set at NPR 8.89 (buying) and NPR 8.93 (selling) per 10 units, while the Chinese Yuan (CNY) stands at NPR 19.05 (buying) and NPR 19.13 (selling). The Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) is priced at NPR 36.83 (buying) and NPR 36.99 (selling), whereas the Qatari Riyal (QAR) is being traded at NPR 37.89 (buying) and NPR 37.77 (selling).
Other key exchange rates include the Thai Baht (THB) at NPR 4.08 (buying) and NPR 4.10 (selling), the UAE Dirham (AED) at NPR 37.61 (buying) and NPR 37.77 (selling), and the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) at NPR 31.45 (buying) and NPR 31.58 (selling). The South Korean Won (KRW) per 100 units is set at NPR 9.56 (buying) and NPR 9.60 (selling), while the Swedish Krona (SEK) is valued at NPR 12.55 (buying) and NPR 12.61 (selling), and the Danish Krone (DKK) at NPR 19.30 (buying) and NPR 19.39 (selling).
For Middle Eastern currencies, Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) is set at NPR 17.73 (buying) and NPR 17.81 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) is at NPR 447.98 (buying) and NPR 449.93 (selling), while the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) stands at NPR 366.42 (buying) and NPR 368.01 (selling). The Omani Riyal (OMR) is valued at NPR 358.81 (buying) and NPR 360.36 (selling).
Additionally, the Indian Rupee (INR) per 100 units is being exchanged at NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates can be revised at any time as needed. It has also clarified that commercial banks may have slightly different exchange rates, and the most updated rates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
