New Footpath Opens on Machhapuchchhre Model Trek

In a significant development under the Machhapuchchhre Model Trek, the Conservation Area Management Committee of Lwang Ghel has completed the construction of a new footpath from Naudhoke to Mesram. This project was funded through the allocated budget for the fiscal year 081/082. The footpath, located within Ward No. 9 of Machhapuchchhre Municipality, is designed to enhance the trekking experience and improve accessibility for both locals and tourists in the region.

The new pathway stretches 220 meters in length and is 1.5 meters wide, making it an ideal route for trekkers and visitors to explore the beautiful natural surroundings of the area. The path is constructed using durable stone paving, ensuring long-term sustainability and minimizing maintenance needs. This stone-based construction technique is particularly suited to withstand the weather conditions and rough terrain characteristic of the region.

This development is expected to not only improve accessibility for trekkers along the Machhapuchchhre Model Trek but also support the local community by promoting tourism and increasing economic opportunities. The initiative demonstrates ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure in Nepal’s popular trekking regions, further establishing the Machhapuchchhre Model Trek as a vital part of the country’s tourism sector.

The newly constructed footpath will provide safer and more reliable access to the stunning landscapes of the area, contributing to the overall preservation and sustainable development of the trekking route. Additionally, it aims to offer a more comfortable journey for trekkers while maintaining the natural beauty and environmental integrity of the region.
