The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted partly cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces today, while the rest of the country will experience clear weather. The forecast attributes these conditions to the general influence of westerly winds.
According to the department’s latest weather bulletin, fog and mist are expected in many places across the Terai region, particularly in the morning. By the afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, while other regions will experience mainly clear skies.
The department has also issued a precautionary advisory, urging people to be prepared for foggy conditions in parts of the Terai and Kathmandu Valley over the next 24 hours. The dense fog may cause disruptions in daily activities, agriculture, health, road travel, and air transport.
Travelers and commuters are advised to exercise caution, as visibility could be significantly reduced in some areas due to the fog.
