Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today inaugurated the Lemon Tree Premier, a five-star hotel in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, constructed for Rs 2.50 billion. The opening of this modern hotel marks a significant development in Nepal’s tourism infrastructure.
During the inauguration, PM Oli expressed his belief that the establishment of high-end hotels like Lemon Tree Premier would play a pivotal role in boosting tourism in the country. He emphasized Nepal’s vast potential as a global tourist destination, highlighting the nation’s rich offerings, from the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, to its cultural and peace heritage sites. The government, he said, has prioritized infrastructure development to support this growing sector.

PM Oli also noted the government’s efforts to streamline public services and create a business-friendly environment. “Businesspersons should be provided with an atmosphere to operate ventures without hindrance,” he stressed. The Prime Minister further mentioned that new technology had been implemented to monitor and address delays in service delivery at government offices.
Addressing the assembled investors and entrepreneurs, PM Oli reassured them of the government’s commitment to support tourism ventures. “You don’t need to worry. Focus on providing excellent service and hospitality to tourists. The government will continue to offer the necessary facilitation,” he affirmed.
The opening of the Lemon Tree Premier Hotel is expected to contribute significantly to the growth of tourism in the Kathmandu Valley, attracting both domestic and international visitors with its luxurious amenities and modern facilities.
