The Area Conservation Office of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) in Sikles has taken steps to promote commercial vegetable farming and establish Taprang as a garlic farming pocket area. Through the Conservation Area Management Committee, Sildhujure, the office has distributed garlic seeds to 18 farmers and plastic tunnels to 12 farmers.
Many farmers in Taprang are actively engaged in commercial garlic farming, which has been identified as a key agricultural activity in the region. The initiative aims to enhance garlic production, support local farmers, and boost sustainable agriculture in the Annapurna conservation area.
