Qatar Airways has inaugurated its new twice-weekly service connecting Doha with Bogota, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela, marking a significant expansion of its international network and strengthening air connectivity between the Middle East and Latin America. With the launch, Qatar Airways has become the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first airline to operate a nonstop service between the Middle East and both Bogota and Caracas.
The new service is operated using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft and represents an important milestone in the airline’s expansion across the Americas. The route is designed to provide passengers with convenient connections between the Middle East, South America and other major international markets through Hamad International Airport in Doha.

New Doha–Bogota–Caracas Service Operates Twice Weekly
Qatar Airways has introduced the new route with flights operating every Wednesday and Sunday. The service connects Doha with Bogota before continuing to Caracas, providing passengers with a new travel option between the Middle East and two major South American destinations. According to the published schedule, flight QR783 departs Doha at 7:35 a.m. and arrives in Bogota at 4:25 p.m. The same flight continues from Bogota at 5:55 p.m., reaching Caracas at 9:00 p.m. For the return journey, the service departs Caracas at 11:30 p.m. and arrives in Doha at 8:35 p.m.
The airline operates the route using its Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, providing passengers with access to its long-haul international network. The flight schedule has been arranged to support onward connections through Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airways’ main hub in Doha. Passengers travelling from Bogota and Caracas can connect to destinations across Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, among other markets.

Qatar Airways Expands Its Presence Across the Americas
The addition of Bogota and Caracas brings the number of destinations served by Qatar Airways in the Americas to 17, making them the airline’s 16th and 17th destinations in the region. Qatar Airways first entered the South American market in 2010 with its inaugural service to São Paulo, Brazil, and has continued expanding its presence through international routes and partnerships. The launch of the new service also strengthens the airline’s position in the Latin American market by creating additional travel opportunities between South America and the Middle East.
Becoming the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela further expands the region’s international aviation links and provides passengers with another option for travelling between the two regions. The new route also supports Qatar Airways’ wider strategy of expanding its global network and improving access to destinations through its Doha hub. The airline currently serves more than 170 destinations worldwide during the winter season, connecting passengers across major international travel markets.
Expanded LATAM Partnership Strengthens Regional Connectivity
Alongside the launch of the new route, Qatar Airways has recently expanded its partnership with LATAM Airlines to include LATAM Airlines Colombia. The expanded cooperation is expected to provide travellers with greater access to destinations across Colombia through connecting services. Under the partnership, Qatar Airways will place its flight code on LATAM-operated services connecting Bogota with several important domestic destinations.

These include Cartagena, Armenia, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cúcuta, Ibagué, Leticia, Medellín, Montería, Neiva, Pereira, Pasto, Riohacha, San Andrés Island, Santa Marta and Yopal. The expanded codeshare arrangement will allow passengers travelling on Qatar Airways’ international network to connect more easily with destinations within Colombia. By combining its long-haul international services with LATAM’s domestic network, Qatar Airways aims to offer greater travel flexibility and more convenient connections for passengers exploring the country.
Strengthening Global Travel and Aviation Connectivity
The launch of the Doha–Bogota–Caracas service reflects Qatar Airways’ continued efforts to expand international air connectivity and strengthen links between major travel markets. The new route provides additional options for business travellers, tourists and passengers visiting family and friends while improving access between the Middle East and South America. Through its extensive network of more than 170 destinations, operations via Hamad International Airport and partnerships with regional airlines, Qatar Airways continues to expand travel opportunities across international markets. Passengers can book flights through the airline’s official website, qatarairways.com, or its mobile application.
