Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park has successfully conducted a trial of its e-ticketing service as part of the government’s broader objective of making public services digital-friendly.
The trial was initiated on Sunday under the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment with the aim of making the park’s tourist entry system more technology-friendly, convenient, and transparent.

The park has announced that following the successful trial, the e-ticketing service will be formally launched from the Panimuhan and Nagarjun entry points starting next week.

E-Ticketing Infrastructure to Be Expanded
The e-ticketing system will be expanded in phases with support from the ministry. Necessary infrastructure, including computers, thermal printers, QR scanners, and other equipment, will be provided to facilitate the digital ticketing system. The service will gradually be extended to other entry points and checkpoints that have access to electricity and internet connectivity.

Nationwide Digital Ticketing Target Within Six Months
According to Minister for Agriculture, Forests and Environment Geeta Chaudhary, the ministry has set a target of implementing e-ticketing services in all national parks and wildlife reserves across the country within the next six months.
Minister Chaudhary said the system would make the tourist entry process faster, more transparent, and better organized. It is also expected to improve revenue management and provide visitors with more efficient and convenient services. The initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to digitalize public services and improve the management and delivery of services in Nepal’s protected areas.
