Digital Marketing Excellence: TEWAN Hosts 3-Day Program on Legal Awareness and Business Growth

A three-day comprehensive training program on legal awareness, digital marketing, positive thinking, and business branding commenced today in Pokhara. Organized by the Tourism Entrepreneur Women’s Association Nepal (TEWAN), the event aims to empower women in the tourism industry with the necessary skills to enhance their business prospects. The first day’s sessions were conducted with grandeur and included key insights from experts.

The program was officially inaugurated by Maniraj Lamichhane, the head of the Nepal Tourism Board’s Gandaki Province Regional Office. Lamichhane emphasized the importance of such training programs in advancing business promotion and acknowledged the impact of recent TWBAN initiatives in promoting tourism in Pokhara and its surrounding areas.

Taranath Pahari, the President of the Pokhara Tourism Council, was also present as a special guest. He wished the participants success and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained in practical ways to boost the tourism sector.

Kamala Giri, the President of TEWAN, explained the shift in promotional strategies. Unlike in the past, when door-to-door promotions were used, time constraints have led the association to focus on digital marketing. She emphasized the importance of women in the tourism sector, along with their staff, learning and adapting to modern business practices. Giri hopes that the training will yield positive results for the participants.

The first day’s training sessions featured legal experts such as Advocate Sushma Poudel and Advocate Tara Arun Sharma, who provided valuable insights into legal awareness and positive thinking. Digital marketing specialist also conducted a session on the latest digital marketing trends and strategies for business promotion. The opening ceremony was chaired by Kamala Giri, with Program Coordinator Shardha Lamsal delivering the welcome speech. The event was facilitated by General Secretary Anita Khadka Bhattarai.

Approximately 70 participants, including tourism businesswomen, school staff, and representatives from various associations, joined the training. Over the next two days, the participants will focus on theoretical sessions in the lakeside area of Pokhara, while the third day will feature a field visit to Bandipur, where they will observe and learn about digital marketing practices in a tourist hub.

The training program is expected to provide valuable skills and knowledge to the participants, enabling them to better navigate the evolving landscape of the tourism industry and enhance their business operations.
