Turkish Airlines Sets Guinness World Record for Most Countries Flown

Turkish Airlines, the global leader in international connectivity, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records™ for flying to the most countries of any airline. The airline has achieved the prestigious title of “Most Countries Flown to by an Airline.”

The record was commemorated at a ceremony held at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, marking Turkish Airlines’ inaugural flight to Chile. The event was attended by airline executives and officials from Guinness World Records™.

According to Guinness World Records™ criteria, Turkish Airlines achieved the record with active routes to 120 countries over the past 12 months. Including temporarily suspended routes and the newly launched flight to Chile, the airline’s network now spans 131 countries.

Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi expressed his pride in the achievement, stating, “We are delighted to be in Santiago, Chile, our newest route launched today, and to receive the Guinness World Records™ title for the Most Countries Flown to by an Airline. As the only airline to hold this distinction for over a decade, we proudly showcase the strength of our flight network and reinforce our mission to connect people, cultures, and destinations around the globe.”
