The two-day session on “Information Management and Informant Handling” successfully concluded today at the premises of the National Trust for Nature Conservation – Annapurna Conservation Area Project (NTNC-ACAP). This training program aimed to equip frontline officers, rangers, and foresters with essential skills to combat wildlife crime in Nepal effectively.
This session is part of a series of three specialized training modules designed to strengthen the capacity of personnel working on the frontlines of wildlife conservation. Participants gained insights into efficient information management systems, advanced techniques in informant handling, and practical strategies to address the growing challenges of illegal wildlife trade and poaching in the region.

The program emphasized real-world applications, fostering collaboration among conservation professionals while preparing them to face complex wildlife crime scenarios. Such initiatives are critical to Nepal’s conservation efforts, ensuring the protection of its rich biodiversity and iconic species.
With its successful conclusion, the training has reinforced NTNC-ACAP’s commitment to safeguarding wildlife through capacity-building programs and innovative conservation approaches.
