Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Govinda Thapaliya, Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, Kathmandu, conducted an inspection visit to the Tourist Police Office at Bhrikutimandap on Monday. During the inspection, DIGP Thapaliya reviewed the activities and service delivery of the Tourist Police and interacted with personnel working at the office. He emphasized the need for the Tourist Police to maintain a high standard of professionalism while responding to the concerns and needs of visitors.
Focus on Prompt and Professional Service
DIGP Thapaliya instructed the personnel to provide prompt, efficient, courteous, and tourist-friendly services. He stressed that tourists should receive timely assistance whenever they face difficulties, security concerns or other challenges during their stay in Nepal. He also encouraged the personnel to strengthen their responsiveness and ensure that visitors feel safe, respected and welcomed while seeking assistance from the Tourist Police.

During the visit, DIGP Thapaliya highlighted the important role of the Tourist Police in protecting the safety, security and well-being of foreign tourists visiting Nepal. He urged the personnel to remain vigilant and dedicated to addressing tourists’ concerns effectively. According to him, professional and friendly service from security personnel can contribute significantly to creating a positive impression of Nepal among international visitors.
