The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported the prevailing influence of westerly winds across Nepal, with local winds affecting the western and hilly regions.
Currently, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while dense fog has been observed in parts of the Tarai region. This pattern is expected to persist into the afternoon, with partly cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The rest of the country will likely experience mainly fair weather.
The Department has also indicated the possibility of light rain at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Tonight, similar conditions will prevail, with partly cloudy skies and chances of light rain in these areas, while the remaining regions will enjoy fair weather.
Dense fog is expected to continue during the morning and nighttime in the Tarai region over the next 24 hours. This could impact agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, as well as road and air travel. The Department has urged individuals and authorities to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to mitigate potential disruptions.
