Five-star Hotel Yak & Yeti has contributed Rs 10.11 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the recent floods. The contribution was made as part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility efforts during a difficult period for communities affected by the disaster. The hotel said the support was intended to help strengthen ongoing efforts to provide assistance to affected citizens and support their recovery.
Yak & Yeti Hotel director Arun Kumar Sarraf, accompanied by his mother Ratna Devi Sarraf and brother Umesh Sarraf, handed over the contribution to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle. The donation comes as government agencies and other organisations continue mobilizing resources for people affected by flooding and related disruptions. Sarraf said the contribution was made with the expectation that it would provide some support to those affected by the natural disaster.

Sarraf said the family would continue supporting relief and recovery efforts in the coming days according to the needs arising from the disaster. Sarraf is also associated with Taragaon Regency Hotels Limited, which operates Hyatt Regency Kathmandu.
