Infrastructure creating new tourism opportunities

Constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 30 million, the 400-metre-long suspension bridge was primarily built to improve connectivity between communities on either side of the Babai River. However, its striking design and scenic location have also turned it into an unexpected tourism asset.

Local residents believe that with additional investments in visitor facilities, viewpoints, recreational spaces and proper destination promotion, the bridge could become one of western Nepal’s notable tourism landmarks while contributing to local businesses and the regional economy.
