A delegation of political leaders, lawmakers, and local representatives from the Dang district met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at his official residence in Baluwatar, drawing attention to the urgent need for economic and physical infrastructure development in the region, particularly the upgrading of Tarigaun Airport.
The meeting, which took place included prominent figures such as CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, federal lawmakers Deepak Giri and Menaka Pokhrel, UML central committee member Ghanshyam Pandey, Tulsipur sub-metropolis Mayor Tikaram Khadka, and Deputy Mayor Syani Chaudhary, among others. The delegation presented a memorandum highlighting the necessity of upgrading the Tarigaun Airport to enhance connectivity and support the district’s economic growth.
In response, Prime Minister Oli assured the delegation that the government would give due consideration to the upgrade of the airport. He also emphasized the importance of expanding the Lamahi-Ghorahi-Tulsipur road to further improve infrastructure and support regional development.
The commitment from the Prime Minister is seen as a positive step towards addressing the infrastructure needs of Dang district, which has been advocating for better facilities to boost its economic prospects and improve the quality of life for its residents.
