Chairman Nepal Emphasizes the Preservation of Indigenous Culture on Haritalika Teej

Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has highlighted the importance of preserving the country’s indigenous culture while fostering ideals rooted in moral values.

In his message of best wishes on the occasion of Haritalika Teej, a significant festival for Hindu women, he stressed the need to honor the dignity of such festivals as they help create an environment of social unity and harmony.

Chairman Nepal extended his wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, mutual unity, family harmony, good health, and long life to all sisters both in Nepal and abroad. He expressed his belief that this festival inspires efforts to eliminate various forms of discrimination against women and promotes women’s empowerment.

He further emphasized the necessity of ending all forms of class exploitation and caste discrimination to build an egalitarian and progressive society. Chairman Nepal believes that the festival of Teej offers inspiration to uphold social justice and equality.

As a former Prime Minister, Nepal noted that the festivals and cultures of all ethnic groups enhance the nation’s pride. He stated that traditional cultural practices strengthen mutual respect, coexistence, and national unity.
