Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh of Madhesh Province has announced plans to develop Tuteshwarnath Mahadev Temple into a significant tourist destination. During a special worship ceremony held today at the temple located in Bardibas Municipality-5, Mahottari, Chief Minister Singh emphasized the need to enhance the temple’s infrastructure and promote its religious significance to attract tourists.
Chief Minister Singh highlighted the temple’s religious, cultural, and historical importance, noting that the devotees’ wishes and vows are fulfilled through worship and offerings at the temple. He pointed out the unique tradition of offering water from the sacred Kamala River in the east and the Bagmati River in the west to the deity.
He stressed that the effective promotion of Baba Tuteshwarnath Mahadev Temple could attract both domestic and international tourists, boosting the local economy and supporting livelihoods. Chief Minister Singh expressed his government’s readiness to coordinate with Bardibas Municipality to take necessary steps for the temple’s development and promotion.
Mayor Pralhad Kumar Chhetri of Bardibas Municipality provided Chief Minister Singh with insights into the temple’s history and current status during the special worship ceremony. The collaboration aims to ensure that the region benefits economically and culturally from the temple’s enhancement as a tourist site.
