Interaction Meeting on Climate Change and Traditional Farming Knowledge Held in Dhey Village, Upper Mustang

An interaction meeting with the Dhey Village community, a group significantly impacted by climate change, was successfully held in Dhey Village, Surkhang, Upper Mustang. The meeting aimed to address the challenges faced by vulnerable communities in the region and to explore ways to integrate traditional farming knowledge into modern ecosystem management.

The discussion focused on identifying the most affected communities and highlighted the importance of using indigenous knowledge to manage and protect local ecosystems. Participants shared insights into their traditional farming practices, which have helped them sustain their livelihoods despite the impacts of climate change.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) and the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) to strengthen community resilience and promote sustainable environmental management in the Upper Mustang region.
