The Lumbini Provincial Government has chosen 100 tourist destinations across its 12 districts to promote tourism and help grow the region’s economy.
The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Transport has selected these locations to attract both local and international tourists. Minister Prachanda Bikram Neupane emphasized that tourism is a key part of the province’s prosperity, which is why these 100 destinations have been prioritized.
Some of the top tourist spots include Mayadevi Temple, Lumbini, Tilaurakot, Rani Mahal, Resunga, Swargadwari, Banke National Park, and Bardia National Park. These places are rich in cultural, religious, and natural beauty.
Ganesh Ghimire, head of the ministry’s tourism section, said the government is running programs to raise awareness about the importance of these destinations. “We want to bring as many tourists as possible to these places to help grow the tourism sector,” he said.
The initiative highlights key sites in districts such as Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Dang, Pyuthan, Rolpa, and East Rukum. The goal is to turn Lumbini Province into a top tourist destination, benefiting both the local community and the economy.
