NATTA Gandaki Province to Host Inter-Provincial Tourism Promotion and Interaction Programs

NATTA Gandaki Province to Host Inter-Provincial Tourism Promotion and Interaction Programs

The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Gandaki Province, a non-profit organization representing travel and tour operators from 11 districts in the province, is set to conduct a series of inter-provincial tourism promotion and interaction programs. These initiatives aim to enhance the tourism prospects of Gandaki Province, especially Pokhara, Nepal’s tourism capital, both nationally and internationally.

Over the years, NATTA Gandaki has organized various promotional and observational tours to boost domestic tourism, contributing to the local economy, fostering cultural identity, and supporting the recognition of local traditions and customs. These activities have played a pivotal role in the promotion and marketing of Gandaki Province as a prime tourism destination.

Pokhara, renowned for its year-round appeal as a tourist hotspot, has been at the heart of NATTA’s initiatives. The association has been hosting the NATTA Fam Tour since 2004 and the NATTA Promotional Tour since 2008, organizing destination identification, interaction programs, and site visits to various tourist locations. In the past, the association successfully carried out domestic tourism promotion programs across multiple cities in Nepal.

This year, NATTA Gandaki plans to focus on promoting Gandaki Province’s tourist destinations in the Madhesh and Koshi Provinces through targeted campaigns and interaction programs. Scheduled from December 6 to December 12, 2024, these programs align with NATTA’s strategic goal to increase tourist arrivals in Pokhara following its designation as Nepal’s tourism capital.

Supported by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment of Gandaki Province, the programs will take place in Janakpur (Madhesh Province), Ilam, and Biratnagar (Koshi Province). These events will include promotional activities and interactions with local governments, stakeholders, tourism entrepreneurs, industrialists, and journalists. The aim is to encourage travel to Gandaki Province while fostering collaboration for the mutual development of Nepal’s tourism sector.

NATTA Gandaki believes these initiatives will significantly contribute to the growth of internal tourism and establish Gandaki Province as a premier travel destination within Nepal.
