The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) under the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) had the honor of hosting His Excellency Dean Richard Thompson, the U.S. Ambassador to Nepal, along with his spouse Mrs. Krill Thompson and Mr. Troy, Peace Corps/Control Officer, at their office today.
The meeting provided an opportunity to showcase ACAP’s efforts in environmental preservation and livelihood improvement through its Integrated Conservation and Development model.

The team also had an insightful discussion on the Peace Corps initiatives with homestay owners, focusing on enhancing English language skills and potential future collaboration to promote tourism in the region.
This meeting highlights the continued cooperation between ACAP, the Peace Corps, and international stakeholders in fostering sustainable tourism and community development.
