Their participation aims to raise awareness about Destination Nepal and promote the upcoming Nepal-India-China Expo (NICE) 2025, scheduled to take place in Pokhara, Nepal, from February 24 to 26, 2025.
The GITF Roadshow served as an excellent platform for the delegation to engage with international tourism stakeholders, including tour operators, travel agents, and industry experts, showcasing Nepal’s tourism potential and upcoming events.

During the event, Mr. Khem Lakai emphasized Nepal’s unique offerings, from its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty to the diverse experiences that attract tourists worldwide. Mr. Suresh Singh Budal highlighted the country’s potential for growth in the tourism sector, encouraging cross-border cooperation, particularly with China and India.
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang’s participation as a Goodwill Ambassador and Expert Advisor for the China Market further strengthens Nepal’s position in the competitive global tourism landscape, offering insights into the preferences and travel behaviors of Chinese tourists.

The upcoming NICE 2025 Expo will serve as a key platform to foster business and cultural ties between Nepal, India, and China, positioning Nepal as a prime destination for tourism, trade, and regional collaboration. The event will feature exhibitions, B2B meetings, and discussions on tourism and economic cooperation, reflecting the growing importance of Nepal as a regional hub for tourism in South Asia.
As Nepal gears up to host this prestigious event, stakeholders are hopeful that the expo will significantly contribute to Nepal’s tourism recovery, providing a vital boost to the sector as the country continues to regain momentum in the post-pandemic era.
