Thousands of Devotees Gather at Triveni Dham for Maghe Aunsi Holy Bath

Thousands of devotees have gathered at Triveni Dham in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) for the Maghe Aunsi holy bath. Since early morning, even before sunrise, the number of devotees at Triveni Dham has been increasing. Devotees from various parts of Nepal, as well as from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in India, have arrived to attend the fair.

There is a popular belief that taking a holy bath at Binayi Triveni Dham in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) on the day of Maghe Aunsi and worshipping the sun fulfills wishes and grants salvation to ancestors.

A subcommittee led by Ward Chairman Narendra Shah of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-6 has made the necessary arrangements to manage the event. Additionally, a security team, including personnel from the Armed Police Force, has been deployed.

“The bathing ghats at the confluence of the Swarnabhadra, Purnabhadra, and Narayani rivers have been arranged for devotees,” said Ward Chairman Shah. “Many devotees are also crossing the Narayani River by boat to visit the Valmiki Rishi Ashram inside Chitwan National Park for worship and darshan.”

Devotees stayed awake last night, and after taking a holy bath and performing rituals today, they have started heading toward their destinations.
