Organized in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under the Sustainable Tourism for Livelihood Recovery Project, the workshop aimed to enhance storytelling skills among tourism entrepreneurs while promoting intergenerational knowledge exchange.

The event featured sessions by tourism experts, facilitators, and interactive discussions designed to inspire participants and elevate the standard of storytelling in Nepal’s tourism sector. NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi and NATTA President Kumar Mani Thapaliya, in their inaugural addresses, emphasized the power of storytelling in connecting with travelers and showcasing Nepal’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

Tourism expert Dr. Pashupati Neupane highlighted the significance of integrating history, culture, and personal stories for destination promotion. Similarly, Thangka artist Anil Ghising captivated the audience by sharing the stories behind Thangka art, addressing their curiosity and inspiring creative storytelling.

Tourism entrepreneur Binaya Shakya elaborated on the structure and practicality of effective storytelling, while NTB Senior Manager Sunil Sharma presented strategies for engaging audiences and marketing through compelling narratives. Participants also engaged in group activities, including storytelling and presentations on tourism programs, receiving constructive feedback to refine their skills.
