On the occasion of Teej, Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey underscored the crucial role of culture as the lifeblood of society during his field visit to the Pashupatinath Temple area on Friday.
“Culture is a vital aspect of promoting religious tourism. It is also the essence of our society. Strengthening cultural aspects means strengthening society itself,” Minister Pandey stated.
During his visit, Minister Pandey interacted with female devotees who had come to view Pashupatinath, and he took the opportunity to review the management of the temple area. He expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements that allowed devotees to experience darshan without having to wait in long lines. He commended the Pashupati Area Development Trust for organizing a streamlined and efficient darshan process.
Minister Pandey highlighted that diverse cultures have played a significant role in connecting Nepal and its people with the world. He emphasized the need to promote religious tourism internationally to attract more tourists and enhance Nepal’s global presence.
