Nagarkot: Government Offices Commit to Successful ‘Nagarkot Visit Year 2082’

To ensure the success of the ‘Nagarkot Visit Year 2082‘ starting from Baishakh 1, all government offices and concerned bodies have expressed their commitment. In an interaction program at the Changu Narayan Municipality, led by Chief District Officer Gopal Prasad Aryal, office heads pledged support for the Visit Year initiative.

Aryal emphasized the importance of this event not only for Changu Narayan but also for the prestige of Bhaktapur and the nation. He urged all offices to contribute from their respective areas, ensuring the safety and security of tourists. He also highlighted the need to promote Nagarkot as a brand, focusing on its sunrise, sunset, Himalayan views, local products, art, culture, and identity.

The program also plans to strengthen security and infrastructure, including free Wi-Fi zones, road repairs, and consistent electricity supply. The municipality aims to make Nagarkot a tourist destination, encouraging domestic and international visitors to stay for at least two nights.

The initiative also includes collaborative efforts from the surrounding municipalities, including Sankharapur, Mandan Deupur, and Banepa, with plans to host separate festivals and activities to highlight the area’s cultural and natural heritage. Local authorities, police, and service providers will coordinate to ensure the success of the event.
