Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with 15 Destination Management Companies, successfully represented Nepal at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Chennai 2025, held from March 21-23 at the Chennai Trade Center. As one of India’s leading tourism fairs, TTF Chennai provided a vital platform to promote the country’s diverse travel experiences to the South Indian market.
The Nepal Pavilion attracted a large number of visitors, including travel enthusiasts, media representatives, tour operators, business professionals, and students, all eager to explore Nepal. The country’s offerings in adventure tourism, pilgrimage sites, and cultural heritage received significant interest, reaffirming its appeal among South Indian travelers.

NTB, as the National Tourism Organization, was joined by 15 travel trade companies, including Airwings Tours & Travels, Alpine Kailash Trek, Apoorva Tours and Treks, Bonjoy Travels, Heritage Tours & Travels, Kathmandu Holiday Tours & Travels, Leaf Holidays Treks & Expedition, Namaste Tourism and Holidays, Nepal Big Mountain Travel Company, Regulus Treks and Expedition, Samrat Tours and Travels, Satyam Tours & Travels, Shivalaya Holidays, Shivam Group Holiday, and Soham Journeys. NTB officials, Mr. Shiv Raj Pandeya and Mr. Kabindra Bhatta, actively engaged with visitors, providing the latest information on it’s tourism products.

A major highlight of the event was the visit of Tamil Nadu’s Honorable Tourism Minister, Mr. Thiru R. Rajendra, to the Nepal stall on the inaugural day. His presence underscored the strong tourism ties between Nepal and India and paved the way for enhanced bilateral cooperation. The country also received the prestigious “Best Stall Decoration Award,” reinforcing its impactful presence at the fair.

Meetings with officials from Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Tamil Nadu Tourism, and Kerala Tourism opened new avenues for government-level partnerships to promote tourism. The participation of local influencers, spiritual leaders, actors, and government representatives further strengthened it’s visibility at the event.
India remains Nepal’s largest source market for inbound tourism, with 317,772 Indian tourists arriving by air in 2024, contributing to nearly one-third of total arrivals. Additionally, over 1.5 million Indian visitors travel to the country via land borders, highlighting the potential for cross-border tourism. NTB remains committed to expanding its outreach and attracting more Indian travelers to experience it’s breathtaking landscapes, rich heritage, and warm hospitality.
