The Department forecasts that the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected at several locations in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and sporadically in other provinces.

Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely at one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. The Department predicts that tonight’s weather will also be partly to generally cloudy nationwide, with continued chances of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, Sudurpashchim, and Karnali provinces.

In light of the heavy rainfall forecast, the Department has urged the public to take necessary precautions, particularly in areas prone to natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and soil erosion. Residents in vulnerable regions are advised to stay alert and follow safety guidelines to mitigate potential risks.
