The Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province Office and the Tourist Police Office in Pokhara jointly organized a two-day training programme focused on the “Security of Tourists, Information Flow, and Data Collection.” This event was held at the Pokhara Grande Hotel from July 8 to 9, 2024, and saw participation from various security-related offices in Pokhara.
The training aimed to enhance the security measures for tourists, streamline the flow of information, and improve data collection methods related to tourism. It was attended by representatives from multiple key organizations, underscoring the collaborative effort to ensure the safety and well-being of tourists in the region.
The organizers extended their heartfelt gratitude to several key figures and organizations whose involvement was instrumental in the success of the programme. Special thanks were given to the Chief District Officer of Kaski, the Chiefs of Krishnadal Gan, Fulbari, Pokhara, the District Police Office in Kaski, the Armed Police Force No. 24 Kalika, Kaski, the National Investigation District Office in Kaski, the District Traffic Police Office in Kaski, the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, the Immigration Office in Pokhara, and the City Police Office in Pokhara Metropolitan. The contributions of all trainers and participants were also acknowledged for their vital roles in the programme’s success.
This collaborative training session is expected to significantly contribute to the enhancement of security protocols for tourists in Pokhara, ensuring a safer and more efficient tourism experience in one of Nepal’s most popular destinations.
